Just read this encouraging news from House2House website. This is the unity we need to see-all sharing the same desire to glorify God and joining Him in the building of His kingdom.

Open doors

We continue to be amazed at the open doors that the Lord is giving to us, and to others within simple church movements so that we can have significant impact within traditional church structures. The Mega/Micro gathering that I mentioned in the last e-letter took place two weeks ago in Orlando. Let me quote from the summary that I sent to those who were attending that gathering.

As you all know, I encouraged this group to come together around the idea that the Lord seems to be leading both mega-churches and micro-churches to actively cooperate and to learn from each other's strengths, and to help cover each other's weaknesses. One of the main things to come out of our time together is that there are various projects that we are all working on that will come to fruition quicker and more effectively if we work together. For example, the mega-churches at this meeting are currently actively looking at helping new house churches to start from those within their own membership _base_, who have an interest in house churches. Training materials that help with this goal will be useful to both large and small churches around the country and around the world. Similarly, both the very large churches, and the various house church movements have been working with sites such as "All About God" and Campus Crusade, that are leading large numbers of people to the Lord on the Internet, to find effective ways to follow up these people and to help with the discipling process. Coordinating this work so that we are not all trying to reinvent the wheel would appear to make sense.

We have committed to coming together again, next time with a slightly larger group, so as to continue on this journey of exploration and cooperation within the body of Christ. I don't know about you, but I find that God is bringing great insights through members of His body within every conceivable type of church.
