Let us begin with a very important fact. The goal of the site is not to criticize traditional or institutional churches. Yes, some of the articles make comparisons and some of the writers do strongly question traditional practices. However, those of us...

During the second week of October , I along with several others from the leadership team of our mission had the privilege of participating in the European Church Planters Network gathering in Budapest. These meetings that involve sixty specially invited church planters from all over Europe occur twice a year. The goal is to gather and unite effective church planters in a way that allows them to learn from and sharpen one another, resulting in them seeing even greater fruit in the expansion of the kingdom of God. This was my first time to attend and it was deeply inspiring and challenging. The large majority of the participants had attended the first gathering in Spain six months ago. During that conference, each church planting team had developed plans and goals for the ensuing year. It was amazing to listen to reports of the faith filled steps the teams have already taken and to hear how God is blessing. Some of the teams had already planted more churches in six months than they had dreamed to plant in a year. Neil Cole, church planter and author of OrganicChurch, spoke to us on a couple of occasions. He challenged us to raise the bar on discipleship and lower the bar on how we "do church", with the goal of seeing more disciples and churches that can spontaneously reproduce. He shared wonderful stories from around the world of movements that are rapidly multiplying churches. The thoughts he shared closely reflect my heart and the vision of our mission, but I was surprised to see just how much these church planters from many different mission and denominational backgrounds share the same vision for making disciples and planting simple reproducible churches right in the harvest fields. The time was particularly uniting, meaningful and faith stretching for our team. The time clarified for us what we believe God wants to do through our mission team, and our faith was stretched and inspired to see how we can plant churches that will reproduce throughout Europe. In case you haven't truly heard, God is speaking to His church and building His Church in amazing and fresh ways. What an exciting time to be alive!! | ||||||

We have over one hundred articles available on our site, so if you are a new visitor, you may be overwhelmed. Where should you start?
Some call them house churches. Some call them organic churches. Some
call them simple churches. We prefer to just call them churches. They
are rapidly multiplying, simple communities of believers, meeting in
homes, offices, campuses, wherever God is...
You are church before you do church. This is one of
the fueling insights of the missional church movement. This isn't a new
idea...but it is pretty provocative, especially when one considers its
implications. If we take Jesus at his word when he say...
Organic Church. I've been using this term for around
fifteen years now. Today it's become somewhat of a clay word, being
molded and shaped to mean a variety of different things by a variety of
different people.
